The National Center for Higher Education Management Systems (NCHEMS) welcomes Dan Armour, accountant, to the team this May.
Armour joins NCHEMS after a long career with Wells Fargo working in business and commercial banking, management and corporate training. Armor’s interest in nonprofit accounting was established after volunteering as a treasurer for a local Boulder, Colorado organization. “The mission of NCHEMS is a very important one, and I am excited to join a team that is at the forefront of their field in driving change and helping universities adapt to current challenges. I look forward to helping make higher education more accessible and equitable.”
He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder and a Master of Business Administration from Metropolitan State University of Denver. In this role, Armour will support the organization’s financial health through financial data analysis and ensuring accurate reporting. As the NCHEMS accountant, he will develop financial processes for better efficiency and help prepare for the organization’s audits.
NCHEMS President Brian Prescott says, “For small non-profits like NCHEMS, keeping clean ledgers and accounts is not just a crucial assignment, it is the responsibility of a single individual whose expertise and integrity must be unmatched. Dan is clearly that kind of person, and his enthusiastic embrace of NCHEMS’ mission was evident throughout our hiring process and since his first day on the job. I am delighted to welcome Dan to our team.”
