Comprehensive Alumni Assessment Survey (CAAS)
NCHEMS Comprehensive Alumni Assessment Survey (CAAS), in both two and four-year versions, is designed to help colleges and universities gain up-to-date information on a variety of issues. Your graduates can provide evidence of the effectiveness of your institution as well as a self-report of their own personal development and career preparation. The survey includes questions in the following key areas:
- Employment and Continuing Education
- Undergraduate Experience
- Development of Intellect
- Achievement of Community Goals
- Personal Development and Enrichment
- Community Participation
- Demographic/Background Information
Why should you consider CAAS?
With the use of the CAAS everyone benefits because valuable information about your students' college experiences provides excellent feedback on the impact of your college. An evaluation of your alumni can help you clarify your institutional mission and goals and even assist in the development of new institutional goals as they are identified by your graduates.
You can meet the growing internal and external demands for information about your alumni without placing increased burdens on the staff who would typically be asked to generate this information. At the same time, the NCHEMS Analysis Service will reduce staff requirements in analyzing survey results by providing a comprehensive, professional analytical report.
The information you obtain from using the CAAS will assist you in marketing your institution to prospective students and employees. A clear assessment of the impact and effectiveness of your institution from the eyes of your graduates is of paramount importance when developing marketing strategies.
The CAAS will assist you in your efforts to evaluate overall mission attainment and particularly the impact of your general education program. The opinions of your graduates can provide a valuable foundation for making changes in the general education program, core requirements, and academic support services.
Finally, as in all other NCHEMS questionnaires, you can add up to 20 questions developed by your campus which will be analyzed along with the rest of the instrument. This will expand the CAAS to better meet the specific needs of your campus.
